invisaWear uses Bluetooth® to connect with a nearby smartphone that is up to 30 feet away. For security purposes, we do not allow invisawear charms to be paired with more that one phone at a time. It is not recommended to swap back and forth regularly between cellular devices because swapping can be a permanent process. I would recommend getting one for each of the people you'd like to be using it so they can pair it to their own phone's. They then have the option to add you as an emergency contact, and there is no limit for how far away emergency contacts have to be in order to receive the alert.
